This is a contingent position based upon contract award

KBR is seeking a Threat Analyst – Senior to lead advanced analysis and assessment of potential threats to space assets, including adversarial capabilities, environmental hazards, and emerging technologies. This role involves synthesizing intelligence, conducting vulnerability assessments, and developing mitigation strategies to ensure mission resilience. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to provide actionable insights for operational decision-making. Candidates should demonstrate deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in high-stakes environments. This position offers the opportunity to shape enterprise-level threat awareness and contribute to national security in the space domain. This role is performed full-time on site at a government facility and is contingent upon contract award.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive threat assessments for space systems, including kinetic, non-kinetic, and cyber-related risks.
  • Analyze adversary capabilities, tactics, and emerging technologies impacting space operations.
  • Develop and maintain threat models and risk matrices for mission planning and operational support.
  • Produce detailed intelligence reports and briefings for senior leadership and mission stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to share threat data and ensure situational awareness.
  • Support development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans for identified threats.
  • Conduct post-event analysis and lessons-learned reviews for threat-related incidents.
  • Contribute to the evolution of threat detection and monitoring tools and processes.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on complex threat scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Master’s degree and 11 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise, OR Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise, OR No degree and 14 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise.
  • Demonstrated expertise in space threat analysis, intelligence, or related defense/aerospace domains.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and methodologies for threat modeling and risk assessment.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with adversarial threat modeling or counterspace capability assessments.
  • Familiarity with international space security standards and coordination protocols.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
