Purpose:

Join a growing team that is building a new regional annual giving program. The Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic (THMA) Annual Giving and Appeals Coordinator supports the philanthropy team’s donor appeal and annual colleague giving program in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.  In addition, this role coordinates grateful patient and family outreach and physician philanthropy initiatives. The coordinator engages donors and stewardship activities with a focus on building a donor strong pipeline and retaining donors.


As a THMA Annual Giving and Appeals Coordinator you will:

  • Participate in the development of and execute annual giving strategies, including direct mail, digital campaigns, grateful patient, and targeted appeals. Oversee segmentation, personalization, and donor journey mapping for annual giving audiences.

  • Manage the annual colleague giving initiative across all THMA locations.

  • Develop calendar and content for direct mail and electronic appeals.

  • Collaborate on the development of collateral material pertaining to annual and colleague giving. Connect with clinical colleagues and grateful patients to identify stories that bring THMA's mission to life for donors.

  • Evaluate campaign performance, provide trend analysis and other statistical information for donor participation and performance across fundraising initiatives in partnership with philanthropy operations colleagues.

  • Implement donor stewardship and retention programs, including personalized thank-you communications and impact reporting.

  • Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to cultivate donor relationships as part of the grateful patient program.

  • Support event-related stewardship activities, including logistics for donor tours, colleague orientation, campaign launches, and other special events.

  • Maintain stewardship calendars and ensure timely delivery of campaign impact reports, thank-you letters, and donor updates.

  • Consistently use Blackbaud donor management system as key CRM tool capturing and tracking all relevant data.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Philanthropy, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Prior project management experience.

  • Experience with managing annual giving programs, including direct mail, electronic solicitation, segmentation and donor retention strategies.

  • Experience in using donor database management systems; Raiser’s Edge or Blackbaud CRM is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to prepare reports, presentations, and business correspondence, and to engage with diverse audiences.

  • Experience in fundraising information systems, data management, and the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and prepare timely and accurate reports to support development objectives.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with hospital leadership, physicians, donors, and volunteers, while maintaining confidentiality and exercising good judgment in philanthropy-related activities.

  • Ability to work well as a member of a team responsible for fundraising programs.

  • Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participate in their resolution.

  • Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patients, physicians, colleagues, and visitors to THMA Regional care facilities. Discusses patient and hospital information only among appropriate personnel in appropriate private places.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive and self-starter with strong team leadership skills.

  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills; ability to multi-task.

  • Proficiency in donor databases, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.

Pay Range: $24.12 - $37.43

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
