About the Role:
As a Therapy Specialist, you provide clinical product support, education, and workflow guidance to hospitals across the Netherlands, primarily within Medical Surgical and ICU settings.
In this role, you demonstrate the clinical value of Baxter therapies, lead training activities, and engage in workflow and protocol discussions with both existing customers and new prospects. You act as the owner of Clinical Education within the portfolio.
Working closely with the Account Managers, you help identify the right solutions for each customer’s clinical needs — focusing on hospital beds, patient monitors, and connected medical equipment. You contribute to tenders and lead the development of customer‑specific training plans.
General Responsibilities
Deliver product demonstrations for both rental and sales products.
Build and maintain strong relationships at the ward level.
Implement Baxter concepts and protocols within customer environments.
Identify clinical opportunities that support the commercial strategy.
Specific Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to clinical protocols (early mobilization, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, deterioration detection, etc.).
Provide clinical advice on patient‑specific cases or within contractual guidelines.
Deliver product and therapy training according to contract specifications.
Communicate frequently with Account Managers to ensure full alignment.
Coordinate prevalence studies and equipment audits where applicable.
Organize and participate in clinical education seminars.
Liaise with Baxter technicians supporting the customer contract.
Education and Experience
Registered Nurse (required).
Certified specialization (e.g., ICU) preferred.
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital environment preferred.
ICU or other specialty experience is a strong advantage.
Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
Qualifications and Skills
Reliable and accountable.
Ability to continuously update clinical knowledge and product application expertise.
Capable of working independently while contributing to a team.
Excellent organizational and demonstration skills.
Strong presentation and public‑speaking abilities.
Proficiency with computer tools and digital systems.
Over de Rol:
Als Therapy Specialist bied je klinische productondersteuning, training en workflowadvies aan ziekenhuizen in Nederland, voornamelijk binnen Medisch‑Chirurgische en ICU omgevingen.
Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het aantonen van de klinische waarde van Baxter‑oplossingen, het geven van trainingen en het voeren van workflow‑ en protocolgesprekken met bestaande en potentiële klanten. Je bent de eigenaar van de Klinische Educatie binnen het portfolio.

Relatiebeheer op afdelingsniveau.
Baxter‑concepten en protocollen bij klanten implementeren.
Klinische kansen identificeren die de commerciële strategie ondersteunen.
Specifieke Verantwoordelijkheden
Zorgen dat klinische protocollen worden nageleefd (vroegtijdige mobilisatie, valpreventie, decubituspreventie, detectie van patiëntverslechtering, enz.).
Klinisch advies geven, zowel patiëntspecifiek als binnen de contractafspraken.
Training geven volgens de contractspecificaties.
Regelmatig communiceren met Accountmanagers voor optimale afstemming.
Prevalentieonderzoeken en apparatuur‑audits coördineren indien gecontracteerd.
Educatieve seminars organiseren en eraan deelnemen.
Contact onderhouden met technici die het klantcontract ondersteunen.
Opleiding en ervaring
Gediplomeerd verpleegkundige (verplicht).
Gecertificeerde specialisatie (bijv. ICU) heeft de voorkeur.
Minimaal 3 jaar verpleegkundige ervaring in een ziekenhuisomgeving heeft de voorkeur.
ICU‑ of andere specialisatie‑ervaring is een sterke plus.
Vloeiend in Nederlands en Engels (vereist).
Betrouwbaar en verantwoordelijk.
Bereid om klinische kennis en productkennis continu bij te werken.
In staat om zelfstandig te werken, maar ook een teamspeler.
Uitstekende organisatorische en demonstratievaardigheden.
Sterk in presenteren en spreken voor groepen.
Computervaardig en digitaal vaardig.
