Therapeutic Area Specialist – Immuno‑Oncology 

South West, Sweden 

(Region Västra Götaland, the regional healthcare provider in western Sweden)

About the role 

We are now looking for a Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) in Immuno‑Oncology to join our Swedish field organization, covering the South West healthcare region. 

In this role, you will work at the intersection of science, strategy, and collaboration. You will partner closely with healthcare professionals to support high‑quality patient care, while orchestrating cross‑functional efforts to ensure an excellent and compliant customer experience. 

As a TAS at BMS, you take full ownership of your accounts, building a deep understanding of customer needs and turning insights into collaborative, value‑based solutions. You report to the Sales Manager and work closely with medical, market access, and other internal stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop a holistic understanding of your accounts and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes 

  • Lead and execute strategic account plans in close collaboration with cross‑functional partners 

  • Engage in high‑quality, evidence‑based scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals 

  • Deliver scientific education and insights using an omnichannel approach 

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure excellence in customer engagement and execution 

  • Work in a compliant, patient‑focused, and value‑oriented manner aligned with BMS standards

Required qualifications 

  • Strong relationship‑building skills with healthcare stakeholders 

  • Ability to drive engagement through a customer‑centric, insights‑driven, and value‑based approach 

  • Proven capability to lead account planning and execution in a cross‑functional matrix 

  • Solid scientific understanding and ability to communicate complex data clearly and responsibly 

  • High level of self‑leadership, proactivity, and execution focus 

  • LIF medical training or equivalent authorization (mandatory) 

  • Fluent Swedish and valid driver’s license 

  • Residence in, or willingness to travel to, the South West region of Sweden 

Considered a strong advantage 

  • Experience and network within oncology care at Swedish hospitals, particularly in the West region 

  • At least 2 years of experience in a commercial or customer‑facing pharma/biotech role with a proven track record 

  • Interest in new ways of working, including omnichannel engagement and network creation 

  • Flexible mindset and motivation to drive continuous improvement and change 

  • Strong team orientation and enjoyment of collaborative work
