About Fidelity Dalian

Established in 2007, FIL Technology (Dalian) Limited was the Fidelity’s first wholly owned enterprise in China. The Dalian office initially served as a systems development centre to bolster Fidelity’s growing business in the Asia Pacific region, with a primary focus on providing technology and web-based support and services. The office has continued to expand in recent years and now acts as the central service hub for the Asia Pacific region supporting multiple business functions including systems development and support, systems infrastructure support, retail operations, finance accounting services and investment administration & fund accounting.

Team Description

Our team provides comprehensive technical support and solutions for the Hong Kong Customer Service Department by providing SmartRetire mobile APP, covering Fidelity Hong Kong WI and PI business. We focus on delivering stable, efficient, and customer‑centric services to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer experience across the entire Hong Kong market.

About you role

As a Testing Specialist in the Mobile App Development team, you will support the quality assurance process for enterprise mobile applications. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and senior QA engineers to validate new features, identify defects early, and help ensure reliable production releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases for mobile and web features, including functional, regression, and smoke testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects clearly using approved defect management tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and QA activities in Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • Support test planning and test case preparation for new releases and change requests.
  • Assist with test data setup and environment verification before test execution.
  • Re-test resolved defects and verify fixes before release.
  • Contribute to test documentation, knowledge sharing, and QA process improvements.
  • Support basic automation testing activities under guidance from senior team members.
  • Experience and Qualifications Required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles, test case design, and defect lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with mobile app testing (iOS/Android) and/or web application testing.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and backend integration concepts.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Business-level English reading and writing skills.
  • Willingness to learn automation testing, CI/CD practices, and QA tools.
  • Desirable Skills and Experience

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Exposure to automation tools/frameworks (for example, Selenium, Appium, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools (for example, JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms).
  • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (for example, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java).
  • Understanding of Agile delivery and DevOps collaboration.
  • Experience working with Hong Kong business or development teams.
