Develop the testing strategy for cleaning equipment, including mechanical, electrical, environmental, durability, and safety testing.
Define validation plans based on: IP rating requirements (water/dust ingress)Safety standards (e.g., IEC/EN for machinery, battery, electrical parts)Mechanical load and endurance, performance metrics
Ensure testing covers real‑world use cases: rough floors, chemicals, humidity, temperature variation, prolonged run time, and misuse scenarios.
Maintain alignment with NPD (New Product Development) and engineering teams.
Create detailed test plans, schedules, and resource allocation for each project.
Oversee hands‑on execution of: Performance testing (suction, water pick‑up, brush torque, cleaning efficiency)Reliability & endurance testing (e.g., continuous run, brush life, pump durability)Electrical safety testingBattery & charger testingEnvironmental testing (humidity, temperature, corrosion)
Track progress, defects, failures, and corrective actions.
Lead a small but diverse team (engineers + technicians), focusing on: Daily task assignment and workload planningOn‑site coaching and skill developmentBuilding capability in automation, instrumentation, and test data analysis
Promote a collaborative, disciplined, and safety‑conscious work culture in the lab.
Manage the test lab, including test rigs, measurement tools, and calibration schedules.
Ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and compliant with internal and external standards.
Drive continuous improvement in lab efficiency—fixtures, testing automation, standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Work with R&D, production engineering, and product management to ensure products meet functional and reliability goals.
Participate in design reviews to raise testability concerns early.
Provide clear communication on test progress, risks, and recommendations.
Improve test efficiency through automation, better fixtures, and data logging.
Benchmark competitor products and industry best practices.
Drive lessons-learned loops from market complaints back into test procedures.
