The Testing Coordinator proctors exams to students with disabilities requiring accommodations. They assist in the coordination of the Disability Services (DS) testing program for students with disabilities. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Policy, Programs, and Operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Direct Student Support - 40%
Advise students individually on how to receive determined accommodations for their exams as well as requirements set by faculty, providing frontline advocacy and support. Responsible for proctoring
exams to students with disabilities requiring accommodations in a variety of formats including paper-based, computer-based, as well as an assortment of alternative formats depending upon the
student’s disabilities and accommodations.
Program Support - 40%
Coordinates logistics for the Disability Services (DS) testing program for students with disabilities. Responsible for security of all examinations and related material entrusted to DS by professors/instructors to be proctored with accommodations and for the accurate processing of the Examination Request Forms for students who schedule to take Disability Services provided exams.
Administrative Support - 15%
Responsible for day-to-day testing operations by providing administrative management including protection of confidential files, maintenance of the student information database, and attention to
compliance with the ADA, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and related university policies and procedures. Embraces and executes the marginal gains approach for
continuous improvement in the delivery of testing services every academic year, collecting and maintain statistic.
Other duties as assigned - 5%
Other duties as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, efforts that support broad divisional and institutional goals including at least 40 hours per year spent helping divisional initiatives such as
Move-in Day, Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Career Expo, and other special projects etc.

Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency. The employee outside of those rights contained within FERPA should create no impression of client or patient confidentiality
