About your team

GPS Delivery supports a variety of customers, including Retail, Workplace and Institutional investors in the wholesale, direct investing and advised channels.Our team of colleagues are split across many locations worldwide, and we all strive to ensure our customers get the best possible service. 

About your role
GPS technology stack and engineering ecosystem needs to evolve at a fast pace to cater to strategic technology drivers and to meet end customer experience demands. There is need for a seasoned technologist leader who can lead / drive this space with dedicated energy, passion and inspiration. The person in the role will be expected to define appropriate test strategies including various aspects of automation testing for the respective programs/projects, co-own the test plan. The person is expected have strong understanding and experience of agile delivery and testing practices, to drive high levels of automation and efficiencies, drive adoption of toolsets in line with the organizational direction and connect to the wider delivery and testing community within the organization to share best practices. The person is expected to have a high degree of connect with the external environment to sense market trends on related technologies and practices and help bring innovation and provide thought leadership to the overall department and the wider organization. The key outcomes shall be (but not limited to) to create a culture of automation keeping DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.
Candidate would be expected to have exposure to Cloud concepts with respect to testing. The role shall ensure that other tech experts are well guided/mentored, and the work gets delivered as per tech strategy and guidelines. The role is also expected to lead portfolio level initiatives driving efficiency and thought leadership from QA perspective.

About you

• Expertise in designing and implementing Test Strategy for complex programs.
• Extensive experience of test automation framework creation.
• Expertise in at least one functional test automation tool like Selenium, QTP, SoapUI etc.
• Expert level experience on Core Java and J2EE development.
• Experience of test automation framework design for service layer/API. (SoapUI knowledge)
• Expert in atleast one functional test automation tool like Selenium, Test Complete etc.
• Relevant experience in Application development tools and frameworks like maven, check style, junit, Jenkins, Git
• Experience with Oracle (preferably Oracle 10G), queries
• Experience of using source code management tools, e.g., GitHub
• Candidate needs to have rich experience around engineering skills, CI/CD, and build/ deployment automation tools.
• Working experience in unit/ component testing.
• Expertise in Database understanding and queries.
• Expertise in API testing concepts and automation.
• Experience in Cloud concepts
• Good understanding of Development Methodologies like “Test Driven Development” and Test Pyramid
• Appreciate the business principles involved in a program
