Duties & Responsibilities:

Role Overview:

  • You will be developing C++ automation tests for high-performance avionics test equipment, utilizing internal AI agents to speed up your development cycle and refactor legacy code.
  • This isn't a "web app" internship. You’ll be dealing with high-performance test equipment, real-time data, hardware registers, and signal integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware-Level Automation: Write C/C++ code to control and query RF test equipment via VISA/SCPI interfaces.
  • AI-Assisted Development: Utilize our internal AI coding assistant to generate and optimize C++ algorithms and automate repetitive unit testing.
  • Lab Execution: Manually validate your code against physical hardware to ensure your automation matches real-world measurements.
  • Troubleshooting: Use an Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and other test equipment to determine if a bug resides in the test software, the hardware registers, or the physical signal path

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or a related technical field.
  • C/C++ Fundamentals: Knowledge of pointers, memory management, and classes is essential.
  • Circuit Literacy: You should know your way around a schematic and understand basic components (Resistors, Capacitors, Inductors).
  • Lab Familiarity: Experience using a Multimeter or Oscilloscope (even if only in a sophomore-level lab).
  • Any exposure to RF/Microwave concepts or Electromagnetic theory.
  • Experience with Embedded Systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or STM32).
  • The AI Advantage: You will be at the forefront of the "AI + Hardware" movement, learning how to use LLMs to solve rigid engineering problems.
