Test Development Intern

The DHC (Digital HealthCare) Test Development team is seeking a motivated intern to provide support to our BU operations, located at ADI’s Milan site.  The successful candidate will work as part of an enthusiastic team of nearly 3 experienced Test Development engineers all located in Milan working on a range of projects.  The position will involve the usage of AI for expediting project development time. In this context, many areas will be explored, from the integration of our testing hardware inside the IC simulation environment to the conversion simulation code to a Test Program. This role will present rewarding challenges along with many opportunities, from using advanced simulations equipment and techniques to developing test sequences. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Utilizing advanced simulation, test and measurement equipment to perform various IC measurements across IC operating voltage and temperature ranges as specified by the design team. 
  • Automation of the process to migrate the simulations results into the measurement environment, from IC programming to test and measurement equipment control, using our simulation environment boosted with AI help to speed up the development of the final test solution. 
  • Preparation in advance of receiving new silicon in the lab.  This will involve tasks to ensure hardware and software requirements are in place ahead of silicon arrival. 
  • Another important aspect is the acquisition and post processing of measurement data to determine performance against specifications along with subsequent documentation of results in appropriate formats. 
  • Non-project development related work to advance the capabilities of the group in terms of hardware solutions and/or software tools exploiting the power of AI. 

Minimum qualifications/Ideal skills 

  • Working towards a qualification in Electronic/Physics/Automation/Telecommunication Engineering (degree or equivalent). 
  • Motivated self-starter. 
  • Solid understanding of basic analog circuit theory. 
  • Experience with programming language is an advantage. 
  • Experience with PCB schematic entry tools is an advantage, preferably Cadence tools. 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Electronic/Physics/Automation/Telecommunication Engineering
