Test Development Co-op

The Group:

The charter of ADI’s Custom Silicon Solutions (CSS) team is to lead the market in selected technology domains with highly differentiated sensing, signal processing and power solutions. Today these technology areas include Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Optical Sensing, Audio and Power which drive major growth in our portable Consumer business. With a goal to deliver sustainable growth the CSS group is an ideal environment for continuous career development as part of a highly motivated and supportive team.

Placement Overview:

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on Test Development related tasks within a multi-disciplined new product development group, which develops products in the areas listed above, for next generation portable product applications, along with being aligned to a learning focused project which will provide the co-op with opportunities to highlight their strengths and capabilities.

Through their placement period the successful candidate will gain exposure to ATE (Automatic Tester Equipment) based solution development and debug work on one of our new products. This will provide valuable experience in the areas of code development, ATE hardware programming/control, H/W and S/W debug, and working in a New Product development environment, while directly benefiting our release schedule and providing the co-op with an opportunity to learn and develop.

This placement can also provide opportunities for FPGA based solution development, pre silicon simulation and engagement with other functions such as Design, Applications, Quality etc.

Relevant Skills:

  • Hardware and software debug skills
  • Software competencies in areas such as VB, C
  • Hardware design skills for PCBs and Verilog / VHDL
  • FPGA experience useful but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills
