About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Test Automation Specialist to support front-end and back-end testing across multiple applications in the life insurance operations domain. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience setting up automation frameworks, thrives in cross-functional collaboration, and brings a detail-oriented, process-driven mindset. In addition, this role requires deep testing expertise, including designing comprehensive test plans in collaboration with Business Analysts (BA) as part of daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Implement and execute end-to-end automated test scripts across diverse platforms, front-end (AIA+, EZ suites) and back-end platforms (Integral Life AS400, Case 360 Workflow).
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and testing teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with business analysts to design detailed test plans and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Ensure test coverage, troubleshoot issues, and optimize automation reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement using Agile, Kaizen, and process optimization methodologies.
- Establish and enforce automation standards and best practices across projects.
- Conduct code reviews of test scripts to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Monitor and report on automation metrics (coverage, execution time, defect detection).
- Support test environment setup and data management for automation execution.
- Provide knowledge sharing and mentoring to junior test/QA engineers.
- Partner with business stakeholders to align automation strategy with operational goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in test automation across applications and platforms.
- Strong programming skills (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience with tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, RestAssured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Experience in life insurance operations is required.
- Exposure to TestSigma and UiPath Test Suite is an advantage.
- Agile/Scrum experience; detail-oriented and process-focused.
- Proven ability to design and document test plans in collaboration with BAs and stakeholders.
