Job Description

We are looking for someone who will use and learn from a diverse set of technical backgrounds and opinions. You will be within the Control and Visualization Business, which develops software products that allow industrial automation.

You will report to the Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Collect, contribute to and document requirements for a feature and its components, ensuring that we contain the information required to develop software and corresponding test cases in the specifications.
  • Test Common Services (CS). You should know how to test REST API. Some experience testing Angular apps is good too, if possible. We require one resource for SRA (Security Remote Access) Testing. At least one year of experience in this specific topic is necessary.
  • Develop unit test plans. Report, debug and correct anomalies. Take the lead in the integration of other components by solving problems within subsystems to produce a final product.
  • Participate in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
  • Estimate, plan, develop test suites, test cases and automated tests to ensure appropriate functional test coverage is attained.
  • Ensure documented test cases and specifications validate documented software requirements.
  • Perform product testing, reporting on problems encountered and documenting test results for follow-up.
  • Determine the origin and cause of anomalies identified.
  • Think outside the box and research and explore new avenues by using the latest technologies and standards.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments complex control system concepts.

Minimal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a software product development environment Preferred qualification.
  • Apply knowledge of automated test tools.
  • Apply knowledge of testing integrated software products.
  • Apply knowledge of software test methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with web-based technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, and Angular
  • Direct experience with C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages
  • Apply data structures and algorithms
  • Apply basic knowledge of object-oriented designs
  • Experience architecting modular software
  • Direct experience with the Industrial Automation industry
  • Direct experience collaborating with local and global technical development teams
  • English advanced.
