At Product Unit Air C4I, we develop and maintain the Combat Management System 9Air. This product is used for real-time surveillance and combat management in the national airspace. As an example, the product presents a situational picture presented on top of a map, where the operator can follow all objects in the national airspace in real time. The product also includes the 9Air Trainer, which is a simulator and training system.
We are now looking for a Test and Verification Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and functionality of our systems, with a primary focus on system and Graphical User Interface (GUI) testing.
As a Test and Verification Engineer, you will develop a good understanding for how the customer uses our product. In this role, you will be responsible to:
Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases.
Use various testing methodologies, including black box, white box, and exploratory testing, to identify and report defects.
Collaborate closely with development teams to understand software requirements and translate them into testable user cases and scenarios.
Analyze test results, and provide test reports.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Support with customer training activities.
Contribute to the writing of our training materials and user manual.

Here are relevant background qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field in engineering or defense.
Experience of software testing or software development.
Understanding of Systems Engineering.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable speaking in front of a group, like when showing customers how to use our product.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to speak English and Swedish fluently, and ability to write technical documentation in English and Swedish.
The following qualifications are meriting but not strictly required:
Experience in writing system requirements and breaking these requirements into detailed test cases.
Experience from automated testing using e.g. Robot Framework or similar frameworks.
Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira).
Experience of combat management systems and the defense industry.
Experience of team leading and agile ways of working.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
