Territory Sales Manager – Aggregates
Location: Cheddar
Salary range: £46,000 - £55,000 Depending on experience

About the role
We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to lead and grow a portfolio of Aggregates customers across a defined geographical territory, based out of Cheddar.
The TSM will be responsible for delivering sustainable growth by implementing a territory sales strategy focused on increasing market share (volume), revenue, and RCO profitability. You will build strong, long-term customer relationships while promoting value-added products and services across the region.
Key responsibilities
The Territory Sales Manager will:
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Plan, manage, and deliver effective call cycles for customers and prospects, using both face-to-face and digital channels (including video calls)
- Set and execute clear call objectives through Customer Management Plans (CMPs)
- Assist in the preparation of quotes and tenders
- Contribute to the annual sales budget and forecasting process for the territory
- Ensure customer queries are resolved within agreed timeframes, aligned to Heidelberg Materials metrics (less than 3% of revenue in query at any time)
- Grow share of wallet through effective upselling and cross-selling, while maintaining required profitability
- Develop and maintain long-term commercial relationships, aligned to the Market Strategy Plan (MSP)
- Enable customers to receive products and services on time by ensuring strong alignment between sales, operations, and logistics
- Communicate market intelligence, customer needs, and insights back into the wider business
- Forecast and track customer account performance metrics
- Manage projects within customer relationships, balancing customer and company objectives
- Identify and develop opportunities with both existing and new customers, aligned to regional and product strategies
- Collaborate with internal colleagues to deliver a consistent and high-quality customer experience
- Manage multiple customer accounts concurrently, including prospects and new customers
