Your Role: Territory Manager – Farm Animal Business

As Territory Manager, you will be part of the Northern Farm Animal Sales Team responsible for managing and growing the assigned territory. In this role, you will develop and execute territory strategies, build strong relationships with livestock producers and distribution partners, and drive sales performance while supporting the adoption and stewardship of the Elanco product portfolio.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement territory strategies and action plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales and performance targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key livestock producers, distributors, and channel partners through regular customer engagement and territory visits.

  • Provide training and education to distribution partners and end users on Elanco products, related animal health issues, and disease management.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities within the territory.

  • Manage territory operations effectively, including customer contact planning, expense management, and CRM documentation (Elanco Connect/Veeva).

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Tertiary qualification in science, agriculture, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food animal health industry or a related rural/agricultural sales environment.

  • Top Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills; effective territory planning, organisation, and time management.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Experience working within Australia’s rural sales channels and livestock production sector.

  • Knowledge of livestock health management and related technical/scientific data.

  • Ruminant animal nutrition knowledge.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Apple software, and Office 365.

  • Strong relationship-building and persuasive selling capabilities.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Greater than 50% travel within the territory.

  • Location: Ideally based within the serviceable territory (Northern Victoria / Southern NSW).

  • Reporting Line: Reports to the Regional Sales Manager – North and works closely with Brand Managers, Marketing, Technical, and Customer Service teams.
