What’s the role
Shell is seeking a Territory Manager (TM), one of the most exciting and fulfilling roles within Shell Mobility. As a TM, you will be part of the Mobility Sales and Operations team that manages a group of Retailers in a defined geographic territory. On average, a territory consists of 15–25 service stations. You will act as the CEO of your assigned territory, with the opportunity to directly influence bottomline results at the Shell Retail site level. We are looking for a customercentric, passionate, and resultsdriven individual who embodies Shell’s values and principles daily. Strong knowledge of Convenience Retailing and 4P execution (Price, Product, Placement, Promotion) is essential.
As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationship between Shell Canada and our Retail Business Partners. You will help ensure the safe and ethical delivery of Sales, Profitability, and Operational Excellence Key Performance Indicators within your territory by coaching and counseling Retail Business Partners. This role is fieldbased, requiring regular travel to retail sites and will include overnight trips. This exciting opportunity will position you for strong career development within the Mobility organization. In this role, you will further develop skills in stakeholder management and business development.
In addition, this role requires the Territory Manager to be based in the Greater Vancouver / Fraser Valley area, BC. Travel may be up to 25%, depending on the territory being managed and the time of year such as annual meetings, team meetings, or training and development.
Accountabilities:
Maximize profitability by growing higher margin Convenience Retail categories, and minimizing costs
Embody and support the organization’s journey towards the Goal Zero Ambition (no harm, no leaks across all our operations) at Retail sites by coaching and counseling Retailers to follow proper HSSE protocols
Review and manage site level performance, identify gaps, and implement action plans to deliver results
Ensure proper execution of the Shell Customer Value Proposition (Marketing, HSSE, Loyalty and Convenience Retail) at each site including consistent delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment
Lead Retailer Recruitment and Selection efforts to support the development of a robust Retailer pipeline
Demonstrate strong leadership by consistently embodying key attributes Authenticity, Collaboration, Performance, and Growth and upholding core values of Honesty, Integrity, and Respect for People
Drive and maximize performance by effectively engaging, inspiring, and influencing internal and external stakeholders
Exhibit a selfstarter mindset, delivering strong results with a proven track record of execution and commercial acumen
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s Degree or Collage Business Diploma is required
At least five (5) years’ work experience in a similar role
Experience in sales, P&L management, retail, and/or commercial acumen is required
Valid driver's license required, Shell vehicle will be provided
Ability to be mobile within the territory including overnight trips
Ability to approach activities with a learner mindset
Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and multiple parallel activities

What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $92,600 - $139,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
