Plains is seeking a Territory Account Manager for our commercial trucking operations in Slave Lake, AB. In this role, you’ll maintain, strengthen and grow relationships with lease operators within your assigned territory. While ensuring adherence to corporate safety policies and expectations, you’ll manage a reliable network of available operators to support business needs.

This role requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory, as well as the ability to work out of a home-based office.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly safety meetings with field operations and the transportation team.
  • Conduct weekly field observations at Plains, third‑party, and lease‑operator sites; provide coaching and maintain documentation.
  • Advise the HSE team on trucking‑related safety improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with third‑party safety teams to support shared best practices.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the lease‑operator portfolio.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing lease operators.
  • Lead onboarding for new lease operators and drivers, including safety orientation and dispatch training.
  • Share field intelligence with the Commercial team, including road conditions, producer activity, and new market developments.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise during trucking safety incidents and near‑miss reviews.
  • Monitor the incident notification system (PINS) for transportation events and support follow‑up actions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in midstream trucking operations
  • Self‑motivated and results‑driven, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong time‑management skills, able to set priorities and plan efficiently
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing abilities, with a proven talent for building strong relationships
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with sound decision‑making
  • Post‑secondary education in Business or Logistics an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing #Plains
