The role
As Territory Account Manager here at Illumina in Germany, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and achieving sales objectives within your assigned territory. You will combine strategic planning with hands-on execution to build strong, long-term customer relationships and deliver innovative genomic solutions that transform human health. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify opportunities, negotiate agreements, and ensure customer success while representing Illumina’s mission to improve lives through genomics.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Significant experience in Life Science sales or a related field
A strong technical background in molecular biology or genomics
Exceptional communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
A BA/BS or MS degree in Life Sciences (Ph.D. is a plus)
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Account Development
Build and maintain high-value, long-term customer relationships
Develop comprehensive knowledge of prospects, including organizational structure, budgeting, and competitive landscape
Sales Execution & Negotiation
Identify and manage genetic analysis sales opportunities
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations
Negotiate contracts and quotations while maintaining profit margins
Territory Management & Forecasting
Create and execute a territory business plan aligned with company goals
Maintain accurate account details and sales forecasts in Illumina’s CRM system
Leverage CRM tools to grow existing accounts and expand the customer base
Collaboration & Reporting
Communicate sales strategies and activities effectively to supervisors
Provide regular updates on market conditions, competitor activities, and pipeline status
