You will play a key part in driving the regional tendering strategy, improving processes, and supporting business growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead a cross-country team, collaborate closely with sales and engineering, and directly influence our success in a dynamic and rapidly evolving market.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead, coach, and develop an international team of tendering engineers across multiple countries.

  • Drive the preparation of high-quality, competitive tenders aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.

  • Oversee technical, commercial, contractual, operational, and financial elements of all bids.

  • Ensure accurate cost estimations and clear risk assessments for all proposals.

  • Foster strong collaboration with sales, operations, and other internal stakeholders.

  • Improve tendering workflows, tools, and processes to enhance quality and efficiency.

  • Represent and promote Hitachi Energy’s values of safety, integrity, and customer-centric delivery.

  • Manage and execute your own tenders when required to support workload balance and team effectiveness.

Your Background

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in an international and multicultural environment.

  • Strong track record in tendering, sales, engineering, or project management within Substation Automation or related domains (SCADA, RTUs, Protection & Control, IEDs).

  • Solid understanding of bid preparation processes and ability to identify improvements.

  • Comfortable working under pressure with strict deadlines and multiple priorities.

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical field.

  • Fluent in English and at least one regional language (Dutch, French, or German).

  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
