The Center for Predictive Medicine seeks a Temporary Research Technician I. The individual in this position will participate in the design, execution, and control of laboratory research studies and develop protocols and procedures. The position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and time management skills. This is a temporary position not to exceed six months. This position is part time at 32 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the design and execution of research experiments.
Independently perform data acquisition and collect, collate, and analyze research experimental data.
Prepare data for publication and draft research papers and technical reports.
Perform critical analyses of literature relevant to research undertaken. Assist in the preparation of technical reports, research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at conferences and workshops.
Assist in the review and revision of laboratory policies and procedures.
Participate in the planning and development of goals for the research project and laboratory. Assist in the establishment of test controls, criteria, and research standards.
Other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Two (2) or more years of research experience.
May require professional certification.
Documented experience working with laboratory animals, especially rodents.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
