Status: Temp Full time position (40 hours) from Feb 9, 2026 until April 29, 2026.
Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F
Location: Applicants must live in Virginia Beach and the surrounding areas. Will need to go to the office periodically for docs that need to be scanned.
This position has a fixed rate of $30/hour with no benefits.
Primary responsibilities include:
The Quality HEDIS Coordinator provides "best in class" service and is the first point of contact, ambassador and concierge for assigned region/membership. Utilizes skills to retain members in the assigned provider practices and supports new membership after the initial enrollment period. Coordinates in office wellness events as a result of interventions management to improve gap closures in the field. Coordinates with Health Education and contacts members telephonically to schedule them for appointments. Participates in the Member Advisory and Provider Advisory Meetings as needed. Maintains superior member/provider relationships and ensures the highest quality of care coordination.
Education:
High School Grad or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
No specific certification or licensure requirements
Experience:
One-year customer service experience required
Experience with Medical Records Preferred
One-year experience in a member and/or provider engagement role preferred
Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial experience/knowledge highly preferred
Special skills and/or knowledge:
Analytical skills – proficient using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel
Openly and actively communicates information and takes initiative to communicate extensively
Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically
Effective interpersonal skills, collaboration, and listening skills
Ability to build strong relationships within and outside the health plan
Negotiation skills
