Part-time Project Assistant: The project assistant will support the Project Director.
Responsibilities include scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and coordinating meetings for team members and the Advisory Board. Maintaining an updated contact list of NEH Discussion Program applicants, ordering books and supplies, and preparing digital readings for workshops and discussion groups. The project assistant assists with program outreach and recruitment to veteran and community groups, and will help create publicity materials (e.g., a program webpage, LinkedIn posts, and event board notices), send targeted emails, and handle U.S. mailings as needed. They will also assist Discussion Leaders with Zoom technology during meetings on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons and help prepare assessment materials for program evaluation.
Temporary/Part-time Position
The Project Assistant will work an average of 15 hours a week for 35 weeks at a rate of $18/hour for the duration of the project period. Project period ends July 31, 2026.
Work schedule is non-standard – weekdays, weekends, and evenings - to accommodate programmatic events. Must be able to attend virtual meetings on Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon during Discussion programs (January to June 2026). Must have reliable transportation and computer technology.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
