Little Words Project is looking for a Temporary Picker Packer for our warehouse in Mountainside, NJ. This position is for the 2nd shift from 4pm - 12am.
The Picker Packer is responsible for ensuring accurate order picking, packaging, and preparation for shipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are key.
Please note, this is a temporary position from November 17 - December 21, Monday through Friday 4pm - 12am.
First week of training Nov 17 - Nov 21 will be from 8am - 4pm.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate, retrieve, and verify items based on order specifications.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages in accordance with carrier requirements.
- Assist with inbound/outbound shipping
- Ensure timely processing and shipment of all orders.
- Conduct final inspections to confirm order completeness and accuracy before shipping.
- Promptly report any missing, incorrect, or damaged items to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory organization and participate in regular cycle counts.
- Assist with inventory and replenishment
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling procedures for all products and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or e-commerce logistics environment (a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift and move packages as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners (a plus).
- Must be available during blackout periods including; Mid November through December 20th
- MUST BE AVAILABLE: November 17 - December 21, Monday through Friday 4pm - 12am AND for the first week of training Nov 17 - Nov 21 8am - 4pm.
