Temporary Paid Media Brand Specialist

Position Summary

As a Temporary Paid Media Brand contractor at National University, you will drive the success of our digital marketing campaigns by providing day-to-day operational support for vendor and internally executed media buys and influencer operations. This role ensures campaigns launch accurately, pace to plan, and deliver clean reporting and study execution, while also supporting scalable, brand-safe influencer activations with tight tracking and payment compliance.

This is a highly organized, detail-driven role for someone who thrives in execution, cross-functional coordination, and process rigor.  This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to National University’s brand and awareness efforts through strategic paid media campaigns, driving impactful results and advancing our mission in the education sector.

Primary Essential Functions (~25 hrs/week):

  • Vendor Communication & Management: Serve as daily point of contact for key vendors (e.g., Amazon, audio partners; support for display/video vendors). Manage setup, delivery, pacing, troubleshooting, and ongoing status updates.
  • Creative Trafficking & Specs Management: Upload and traffic creative assets; translate audience/placement/creative requirements; coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve creative/spec needs.
  • Media Planning Operations: Maintain media calendars and launch timelines; support budget updates internally and with vendors; assist with contract coordination; surface weekly pacing/forecasting.
  • Campaign QA & Launch Support: QA vendor setups against strategist direction and platform requirements; confirm asset specs; support launch readiness and post-launch verification.
  • Platform Studies & Lift Analyses: Initiate and manage incrementality, brand lift, and audience studies; ensure consistent implementation, result retrieval, readouts, and documentation of learnings.
  • Vendor Evaluation & Exploration: Support vendor assessments and partner comparisons; contribute to performance reviews and identification of new opportunities.

Outputs

  • Error-free launches, reliable pacing, clean QA, consistent study execution, and actionable reporting that closes the learning loop.

Secondary Essential Functions (~15 hrs/week):

  • Creator Sourcing & Brand Safety Vetting: Identify creators aligned with brand and campaign needs; complete brand safety checks prior to activation.
  • Outreach to Handoff: Manage cold/warm outreach, follow-ups, and coordination until the creator is ready for strategist handoff; support CGC creators through onboarding readiness.
  • Onboarding & Tracking Hygiene: Onboard creators into campaign management tools; ensure tracking is set; log post links/metrics in trackers.
  • Project Management & Deadlines: Own reminders, timelines, and follow-ups to ensure timely deliverables and smooth execution.
  • Payments: Send payment information requests and submit payment items in the payment platform (e.g., Lumanu or equivalent).
  • Wrap-Ups: Send wrap-up communications; consolidate links, performance notes, and learnings.

Outputs

  • Brand-safe, activation-ready creators with clean handoffs, accurate tracking, on-time deliverables, and payment compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a marketing operations role supporting paid media vendors and/or campaign operations (agency, in-house, or vendor-side).
  • Demonstrated experience with creative trafficking, launch QA, pacing, and vendor communication workflows.
  • Strong operational discipline: detail orientation, deadline management, and reliable follow-through.
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets/trackers and maintaining clean reporting inputs.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting platform studies (brand lift, incrementality, audience studies) and documenting insights for future planning.
  • Familiarity with influencer operations: vetting, tracking, onboarding workflows, creator payment processes.
  • Experience working with vendors across Amazon, audio, display, and video ecosystems.
  • Experience with campaign management tools, payment tools (e.g., Lumanu), or similar systems.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.  Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
