Penn Engineering Online is seeking an Admissions Counselor that serves as a recruiter for multiple online graduate degree programs. Reporting to the Online Graduate Admissions Manager, the Admissions Counselor will provide admissions counseling and respond to questions from prospective students and participate in office hours, admissions webinars and other events. The Admissions Counselor will join an active, engaged and high performing team directly supporting Penn’s 2022 Compact of Inclusion, Innovation and Impact.Job Description
85% - Counseling & Recruitment Outreach
The counselor is responsible for building a relationship with their pool of applicants with the goal of increasing application submissions.
Monitoring Slate instance of Inbox, responding to emails in a timely manner
Conducting proactive outreach through phone calls and SMS messages to nurture all assigned applicants.
Conducting daily office hours for prospective students, answering questions about admissions requirements,application materials needed, program details, student experience
Conduct regular Applicant Information Sessions, Coffee Chats, and other events to educate potential students and answer questions.
Assisting with Webinars and other events by answering questions behind the scenes.
10% - Events
Assist with recruiting events as needed
5% - Other duties as assigned
Help the Online learning office with other tasks as required
Qualifications
Experience in higher education admissions counseling preferred
Experience with admissions systems preferred (Slate preferred)
Knowledge of admission terminology.

$7.25 - $25.00 Hourly RateSalary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
