Job Summary

Temporary Contract Position - Manager, Product Development (6-8 weeks)

The Manager, Product Development, is a Temporary corporate-based position responsible for supporting the delivery of the strategy and implementation of the guest journey. The core focus of this role will be to strengthen the strategy and implementation of the new destinations we sail to and support in executing the vision of the onboard guest experience. As a passionate, industry-knowledgeable, and proven project manager, the Temporary Manager will have the ability to deliver results, track progress and success, and partner with key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This role will be accountable for achieving deadlines ahead of time, keeping the department on track to manage deadlines and milestones, and coordinating with key stakeholders. The role will touch all elements of the guest experience from brief, design, and execution, ensuring that all concepts and designs are delivered in line with the strategic goals of the brand and the department. Due to the time frame of the role, this person must be a quick learner and able to work independently at times.

Essential Functions

  • Support the core pillars of the guest experience, including retail, F&B, suite differentiation, onshore events, and entertainment & enrichment.
  • Day-to-day lead on project managing new destinations and their development.
  • Create and support all retail and onboard enrichment programming development by delivering SOPs, Event Orders, and training materials.   
  • Enhance the suite categories with a focus on the core pillars of the guest experience.
  • Support in the strategy and development of the beach events program by developing an achievable implementation strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to convey a meaningful narrative and strategy for elements that touch the guest experience.
  • Support the development of the Suite Differentiation program for the Product Development team with the support of senior leadership. 
  • Present industry trends and findings to the Product Development team and senior leadership when relevant.
  • Analyze guest voice surveys and reporting, and share all emerging trends as related to the guest experience. Ensure solutions are taken moving forward by all responsible areas.
  • Develop relationships with shipboard leadership teams for their insight into the guest experience and guest sentiment.
  • Manage multi-dimensional project plans and workstreams, and plan for key strategic company projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to travel for the versatile needs of the business.  
  • Manage contracts, payment processes, and tracking systems.

Competency

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent

Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in the hospitality or marketing field
  • Strong knowledge of the luxury industry
  • Attention to detail is a core skill and passion. Strong organizational skills
  • Expert-level written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring reliable and consistent results
  • Effective planner, implementor, and problem solver
  • Luxury retail, events development, and execution experience
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them on a timely basis. Strives to beat deadlines, not just meet them.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite with excellent skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Project Management tools
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and savvy with social media platforms
  • Maintain strong and effective internal communications, including regular department meetings, to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity
