Temporary AP Specialist

99 - Corporate Full time
Location: Sunrise, Florida

This job entails processing of Accounts Payable invoices. This includes: preparing invoices for payment and ensuring proper documentations are attached with appropriate authorization on each invoice. There is also an emphasis on clarification/problem solving, in which the specialist clarifies with/questions invoice contacts regarding details pertaining to the invoice and invoice payment. Communication with invoice contacts is done via the telephone and through e-mails. Working cross functionally with the business on items requiring research or reconciliation.

Essential Duties          

  • Manage accounts team to ensure day to day operational team duties are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate and timely month end processing
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable Manager
  • record of the payments made to the creditors.
  • Reviews invoices and check requests and sorts and matches invoices and checks.
  • Sets invoices up for payment and processes check requests
  • Analyze accounts and prepare reports
  • Keep track of the transactions and monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Maintain records and vendor file
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to any queries
  • Submit monthly reports and help in month end closing

Experience & Education

  • Associates or higher degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience
  • Minimum of three years of relevant and progressive professional experience in accounting and/or finance
