Offal Attendant Job Description
Due to the recent change in our Offal Room, the team member that is responsible for the Offal Room will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. The team members will also assume total responsibility for the Offal. Their job duties will be as the following:
Help the Mechanics out on PM’S when necessary.
Maintain good housekeeping by making sure that all trash, loose metal and debris is picked up daily and the floors are washed down, and all hoses are wrapped up neatly.
Responsible for changing all trailers on the meat and feather side. Plus rolling and unrolling all tarps and making sure the tail gates are secured.
Responsible for pumping all blood out into the blood tanks.
Make sure all safety guards are on and in place.
Make sure that the meat and feather reels are kept clean at all times.
Maintain the pit by making sure that excessive meat and feathers aren’t spilling over in the pit.
Perform daily safety inspections of the Offal room and document any findings. These sheets must be turned into the Supervisor daily.
Practice daily Lockout/ Tag out procedures.
