The Ameriprise Financial Technology team provides corporate computing, network infrastructure support, and technology to clients, advisors and employees. The Technology Intern Program offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company by delivering technology solutions to support the evolving needs of our clients, advisors, and employees. You will gain direct professional experience and a broad understanding of the Ameriprise Technology organization by performing tasks and projects.
Examples of intern assignments may include the following areas:
• Information Security
• Business and Data Analytics
• Technology Infrastructure and Operations
• Application and Web Development
• Client Technology Experience
• Technology Architecture
• Cloud Engineering
Key Responsibilities
As a Technology intern, you will be assigned a specific business unit to support based on business need and chosen candidate interest. Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include:
- Defining business requirements
- Developing user acceptance test plans
- Developing SOW and cost-benefit analysis
- Developing documents, test and modify new or existing code
- Develop working knowledge of systems and processes
Required Qualifications
- Current Senior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
- Graduation date of December 2021 or May/June 2022
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Interested in gaining broad experience in Technology
- Demonstrated leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Senior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
- Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

The estimated base salary range for this role is $35/hr. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
