[What the role is]
The Senior Executive will be responsible for supporting the financial processes for Pre-Employment Training students. This includes processing claims, disbursements of financial awards, budgeting, receipting and ensuring compliance with policies, guidelines and requirements from regulators and funding agencies.
[What you will be working on]
- Facilitate and manage student finance-related matters and prepare relevant reports for stakeholders.
- Address enquiries from students and parents and follow up on any outstanding matters.
- Handle claims processing, disbursements and budget tracking of funds from funding agencies and reconcile records to resolve discrepancies.
- Perform financial reconciliation and participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in financial audits and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Participate in system enhancements and implementations, and engage IT system vendors on system related matters.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform any other administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant qualification in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or audit-related areas.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills to assess complex situations, analyse data, and develop effective solutions to improve process and decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Meticulous with ability to handle large volumes of data.
- Committed and strong team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Capable of managing work independently.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise competing deadlines
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting, and MS Power Automate for process automation is a plus.
- The successful candidate for this temp position can be engaged for up to one year.
