Ledcor Highways Ltd is seeking a telematics administrator to support our busy highway maintenance operations across Canada.
The role will be responsible for managing, monitoring and optimizing vehicle tracking and reporting systems to ensure contractual compliance and to improve fleet efficiency, safety, and data accuracy. You will act as the primary contact for telematics hardware and software communication, contractual requirements, generating reports, analyzing driver behavior, and supporting compliance. Key duties include troubleshooting device connectivity and training users.
Core Responsibilities
- System Management: Oversee and configure telematics platforms, ensuring 24/7 visibility of assets, vehicles, and equipment.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate and analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports on contractual compliance, including routes, dispatches, response times and compliance reporting requirements.
- Device Maintenance: Support the installation and troubleshooting of telematics hardware (GPS, cameras) for on-road vehicles.
- Continuous Improvement: Support ongoing technical and practical advancements in route development, tracking, efficiency analysis and various reporting software and system to ensure contractual compliance and optimized operations
- Technical Support & Training: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting system issues and training staff on new technologies or software updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience with fleet telematics, ideally GEOTab
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of telecommunications, GPS, mapping software and routing systems
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with fleet management software (preferably Geotab)
- Communication: Ability to work across departments (Operations, IT, Fleet Management, Safety) to support operations.
