Job Summary: You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the the FACILITIES CONTROL OFFICE (N33FCO), TECHNICAL CONTROL (N33), OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (N3) of NCTAMS PACIFIC. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for analyzing and processing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs).
  • You will ensure ASIs are distributed to subordinate facilities for coordination following the DISA concurrence process and actively track ASIs through completion.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing, compiling and up-channeling trend analysis reports.
  • You will be required to solve difficult long-haul Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and other specialist communication problems under the jurisdiction of NCTAMS PAC.
  • You will assist in providing centralized coordination of telephone, circuit and Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) asset management requirements.

Qualifications: Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience managing the full lifecycle of Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs), including coordinating with multiple sites and ensuring all actions are compliant with governing directives. -Experience providing direct supervision and mentorship to junior technical staff, developing operational procedures and providing training on service interruption and ticketing system standards. -Experience managing a technical library of official operational records, equipment inventories, and policy directives ensuring full compliance with standards and maintaining audit readiness. -Experience analyzing circuit performance data to identify negative trends used to compile detailed reports for leadership that drive improvements in network service reliability. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-0391-12.
