Salary Range: $169279 - $197200 Per Year

Job Summary: This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - WHITE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY.

Major Duties:

  • Provides supervision to and through subordinate staff and supervisors to military, civilian, and contract staff.
  • Provides daily oversight of all functions related to supporting the EOP, OVP, NSC, USSS, and WHMO and their staffs, including direct telecommunications support to the President, Vice President and First Lady.
  • Formulate policy/procedures, operational mission planning and execution, frequency management, logistics support of deployments, and financial/budgetary planning for travel and emergency actions mission support and associated required training.
  • Serves as staff advisor/authority on Presidential telecommunications, and operational matters.
  • Provides Operational direction developing strategy, deadlines, priorities, risk assessment and objectives to support Emergency Action initiatives and classified projects.

Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled. Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis. AND Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: exercising managerial planning and engineering of telecommunications operations such as resource allocations, audio-visual services, risk assessment, or program objectives to support emergency action initiatives and sensitive projects.
