Role Overview

(ADI) is a leader in the semiconductor industry, dedicated to innovation and excellence.  Our extensive portfolio enables disruption at a time of tremendous change in multiple industries.  We are seeking a talented Government Technology Strategist within our Aerospace and Defense Segment Marketing team to help define and drive this disruption.

Role Definition

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Strategist with a strong technical background in RF systems, radar technologies, and advanced signal processing to develop capability concepts, coordinate with internal resources and lead and win strategic government contracts. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with business development acumen, driving pursuit strategies, building customer relationships, shaping requirements, and leading multi-disciplinary teams through the capture lifecycle.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, strategy, and business development, requiring an individual who can both engage technically with government customers and shape competitive strategies to secure major technology programs. Strong hands-on technology development experience especially with signal processing algorithm engineering and implementation is desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise
    • Leverage deep knowledge of RF, radar, EW, and signal processing technologies to influence solutions and differentiators.
    • Partner with engineering teams to develop discriminating architectures, prototypes, and demos aligned with capture needs.
    • Translate complex technical capabilities into mission outcomes and competitive positioning with compelling demonstrations.
  • Capture Leadership
    • Lead end-to-end capture activities for government technology programs in RF, radar, and signal processing domains.
    • Develop, manage, and execute capture plans, win strategies, and value propositions aligned with customer missions.
    • Drive opportunity/proposal reviews, competitive assessments, and price-to-win analyses.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with DoD, intelligence community, and government stakeholders.
    • Shape opportunities by understanding customer mission needs, requirements, and acquisition strategies.
    • Represent the company at technical and acquisition forums.
  • Team & Proposal Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional teams including business development, engineering, finance, contracts, and operations.
    • Support proposal strategy, messaging, compliance, and technical solution development.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in RF systems, radar, EW, or advanced signal processing.
  • Proven track record of winning major DoD/IC technology programs.
  • Deep understanding of government acquisition processes (FAR, DFARS, DoD 5000, IC acquisition).

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics.
  • Established relationships with key DoD/IC customers and acquisition organizations.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, DARPA/ONR/AFRL programs, or OTAs.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI/ML for signal processing, cognitive radar, and spectrum dominance.
  • Active Secret clearance.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $108,800 to $149,600.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
