General Summary
The Technology Project Management Intern will gain valuable “hands on” experience and training by working in collaboration with skilled professionals on project planning, backlog refinement, efforts sizing, and other project management practices within LAIKA’s Core Technology department.
Job Functions
- Work with engineers and technical staff to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards throughout the technology project lifecycle.
- Assist with creating various communication packages including presentations, forecasts, and visual data for stakeholders and management.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to core technology leads and propose solutions.
- Facilitate and solidify project processes by creating reports and managing documentation.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in college/university, or graduated within the last 12 months, with a focus in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant areas of study recent Computer Science or Engineering-related certificates from non-degree programs also accepted.
- Proficiency in at least one project management tool (e.g., Jira, MS Project, SmartSheet, Airtable).
- Experience working with dashboarding and visual communication tools like Miro, Mural, and PowerPoint/Keynote.
- Knowledge of databases, queries, and data lakes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with systems engineering, web or software development, and computer graphics.
