Position Summary
The Technology Manager, Financial Systems & Services is a hands‑on leader responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing enterprise systems across Wealth and Asset Management, Accounting & Finance, HR, and other core business units. The role combines technical depth with people leadership to align technology efforts with firm‑wide strategic objectives. Responsibilities span governance, planning, execution, and daily oversight of mission‑critical financial and operational platforms. The manager enables front‑office and back‑office functions including portfolio management, client advisory, trading, compliance, and reporting
The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Align technology and business strategies to support financial and operational processes across wealth and asset management.
Lead technical teams through system enhancements, integrations, testing, and production support.
Oversee systems analysis, requirements definition, and day‑to‑day management of enterprise platforms.
Drive design, planning, execution, and delivery of enhancements for portfolio management, client platforms, and advisory tools.
Support and enhance enterprise systems in a highly regulated financial environment.
Lead initiatives in emerging technologies (AI/ML, automation, predictive analytics).
Manage technology roadmaps aligned with business transformation and innovation.
Manage vendor relationships and partner integrations.
Ensure compliance with financial and operational regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IS, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years enterprise systems experience supporting financial systems and wealth management platforms.
5+ years direct supervisory experience managing technical teams.
5+ years experience in wealth or asset management environments.
3+ years system administration experience (environment management, releases, patching, regression testing).
Experience translating business strategy into technology delivery roadmaps.
Excellent communication, organizational, and team development skills.
Ability to perform in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.
Ability to work in our Baltimore office three days a week.
Desired Qualifications
Deep expertise in enterprise architecture and application development.
Experience with portfolio management systems, client advisory tools, trading systems, and performance analytics.
Knowledge of GL structure, portfolio accounting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices, and modern tech stacks.
Proficiency in AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, robotic automation.
Intermediate SQL knowledge and experience with data analysis.
Experience with Agile methodologies and change‑management processes.
Technical and Business Level Competencies
Enterprise system architecture and integration
Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
Snowflake and/or Databricks
API and middleware integrations
System security, audit, and financial regulatory compliance (SOX, AML/KYC, SEC/FINRA)
Wealth & asset management workflows
Portfolio analytics, client reporting, financial planning processes
MD Salary: $135-$165. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
