Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading an organization to deliver technology products and services that meet strategic business outcomes. Key responsibilities include enabling the portfolio strategy by setting strategic technology outcomes, creating a resource and people development strategy, managing the financial and resource plan, advocating and advancing organizational agility, improving end-to-end processes, and promoting learning and improvement. Responsibilities:
- Manages relationships with business and technology executives/sponsors and vendors for technical products and understands the work deliverables and performance of the Technology Management team by following outcomes from business and client feedback
- Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers by sponsoring opportunities that improve processes, staying close to teams and their experiences, and identifying new opportunities to enhance efficiency and gain a competitive advantage
- Conducts portfolio level resourcing and financial management activities, establishes target outcomes through objectives and key results, tracks strategic technology outcomes aligned to the portfolio strategy, and promotes the organization and its resources to achieve them

- Ensures that execution is aligned with Portfolio strategy by working with Portfolio Product Executives and other value stream stakeholders
- Manages procurement, vendor evaluations, and negotiating vendor contracts for technical products and services for the organization
- Manages a team of technical subject matter experts in converged infrastructure stack and automation capabilities.
- Hands on Hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) software development team leader and contributor who is adept at modern infrastructure architecture and software engineering paradigms.
- Lead the architecture, development, and life cycle management of software defined HCI platforms across compute, storage, and network domains.
- Drive automation-first mindset, leading the development of APIs, CLIs and orchestration layers for full stack provisioning, monitoring, and remediation.
- Collaborate closely with the platform, develops and cloud engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines and cloud native systems.
- Own the vision and roadmap for HCI software strategy-including observability, lifecycle management, self-healing, and compliance.
- Evaluate and integrate open-source and commercial tools to accelerate infrastructure automation and operational excellence.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices including code quality, test automation, and secure development practices.
- Drive automation of manual processes and creation of real time dashboards and reporting, as necessary.
- Drives and defines a broad culture of “what good looks like” in the scope of converged infrastructure and ensures alignment and socialization broadly to consuming partners.
- Understands, documents, and maintains key processes including requirements, understanding of what is being produced, what is being consumed, and by whom, how, and when.
- Define and drive a culture of documentation, knowledge transition, and open information sharing within the team and organization to drive key performance improvements across functional areas and to ensure long-term supportability of robust technical solutions being built and operated.

Position Description:
The Head of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure Stack Development Executive will drive the implementation and delivery of technology solutions against a focused converged infrastructure delivery strategy.
This Executive will be responsible for evaluation of technology solutions, development and implementation of automation, and software defined solutions to enable a converged infrastructure model and is expected to be fluent in software engineering and development practices, and infrastructure engineering and delivery at scale in a large, regulated enterprise. This role blends deep infrastructure expertise with modern software engineering and automation practices.
The ideal candidate will drive the design, development, and evolution of HCI platforms that power scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise environments.
This is a critical leadership role with high visibility and impact, perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, cloud native architecture, and software defined automation.
This role partners with Engineering, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Risk, Development, CIO leadership, and Product Delivery teams, and other key partner areas across Cloud and Data Center services and Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) teams to deliver solutions that drive and scale self-service cloud computing capabilities with continuous improvement in a converge infrastructure paradigm.
The mandate is to help the bank scale cloud adoption safely while minimizing excess infrastructure expense, wasted capacity, optimized demand management and fulfillment, and leverage repeatable hardware solutions to promote optimized data center and workload placement, endure optimized capacity, and to reduce and attempt to eliminate bespoke hardware and infrastructure deployments whenever possible.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
- Strong software development background with proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Deep expertise in virtualization (VMware, KVM), containerization (Kubernetes) and storage/networking systems.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi) and automation frameworks.
- Hands on experience with HCI technologies (e.g., VMware Cloud Foundations, Nutanix, VxRail or custom-built platforms).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and modern cloud infrastructure patterns.
- Record of leading engineering teams through agile development and dev-ops practices.
- Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments and edge computing architectures.
- Familiarity with SRE practices and operational practices (SLA’s, SLO’s, SLI’s and error budgets).
- Contributions to open-source infrastructure or automation projects.

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$175,000.00 - $325,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
