Job Description

As a Remote Support Technician – Automation Control, you will provide remote technical support for Rockwell Automation control products, helping customers troubleshoot PLCs, drives, networks, and control systems. You will work directly with customers, analyze system data, and collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure efficient issue resolution.

You will be part of the Remote Support Latin America team and will collaborate closely with peers and senior engineers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will provide remote technical support for Rockwell Automation control and automation products, including PLCs, Industrial Networks, and Safety systems.
  • You will diagnose and resolve medium-complexity technical issues, escalating to senior engineers or global teams when required.
  • Manage assigned customer cases from start to finish, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and technical quality.
  • Perform root cause analysis by reviewing controller programs, fault data, logs, and system architectures.
  • Contribute to the Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) process by creating and updating knowledge articles and documenting troubleshooting investigations.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

  • Technical degree in Industrial Automation or Control Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation products, including:
    • Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Micro800)
    • Studio 5000 Logix Designer
    • Industrial Networks (EtherNet/IP preferred)
    • PanelView Graphic Terminals (PVPlus 6, PVPlus 7, PV800)
  • 1+ years of experience providing remote technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Document technical information clearly and accurately.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

  • Experience supporting Logix-based control systems integration and basic optimization.
  • Experience participating in escalations and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience contributing to technical knowledge bases (KCS or similar).
