This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving  quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.

The Technician II, Repair & Maintenance Engineering, is primarily responsible for handling complex technical tasks in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs for facilities and equipment. You will be expected to build effective and meaningful relationships with production staff and ensure adherence to procedures.

Job responsibilities:

1. Execute an effective PM activities. Ensure Finishing Production equipment and system achieves minimum machine downtime (production equipment, Lab instrument or equipment and QC instrument) and minimum NCR. Provide engineering support to other functions as and when is required.

2. Ensure correct SOPs and forms are used to perform planned activities. Need to have good GDP of documentation. Ensure updated release documents is used for PM activities and in validated state.

3. Ensure all PM records are properly recorded and kept. Ensure 24/7 round the clock support is provided to production.

4. Monitor Spare Part and work closely with spare part room to ensure sufficient part available.

5. Assist Engineer in cost reduction, cost saving, machine set-up and improve efficiency of PM and machines repairs time.

6. Participate in new machine equipment installation and validation program.

7. Provide support for Engineers in terms of documentation and job execution.

8. Promote effective communication with peers across all shifts and ensure efficient shift hand-over and effective startup meeting.

9. To support the investigation of the process and quality failure resulted from equipment/ process related problem and

provide permanent solution to fix them.

10. Participate extensively in the business development such as new project initiative by actively participating as project lead, project support or project executors.

Minimum requirement:

1. 2 years of Mechanical/Electrical technician experience required

2. Open for Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering fresh graduates

3. Good to have machine troubleshooting experience

4. Able to read analytical diagram

5. Open to work 12 hour rotational shift
