What's the role?
Under moderate supervision where operations and sequences are specified by written and verbal instructions and established practices, the Maintenance Technician II will perform some routine repairs, corrective and preventative maintenance on optical Rx Lens manufacturing machinery and support facility/equipment.

Here's what you'll do:
Complete preventative machine maintenance.
Complete machine repair and general troubleshooting equipment issues.
Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble manufacturing and related equipment.
Perform routine emergency procedures which may include fire, entry alarm, catastrophe, and chemical compliance.
Help completes projects of a defined scope on manufacturing and facility related equipment.
Perform tests and monitor equipment using prescribed test procedures and diagnostic equipment.
Prepare and maintain appropriate and required documentation on tasks performed.
Maintain logs and records.
Modify and/or install new equipment for the facility and production.
Ensure that equipment is safe and in proper working order.
Comply with all NEC & OSHA safety regulations.
Operate and maintain plant support equipment.
Pass down effectively to take place daily on Excel pass down log.
Follow safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership.
Do you qualify?
HSD / GED
1-3 years related experience
Manufacturing experience preferred
Able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Able to perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities
Able to sustain lengthy periods of visual concentration and good hand/eye/foot coordination
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment
Solid dexterity, mechanical and electrical skills
Advanced mechanical & electrical skills
Basic Know-how in automation technology / PLC (preferred Siemens TIA Portal)
First Experience with actuating elements & sensors
Interest in electro-technics, mechanics and optics
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Patience to fully see the task through
Honest, dependable and be able to follow directions either written or verbal
Able to use of personal protective equipment
Able to sit, stand, twist and bend for extended periods of time.
Able to follow safety guidelines with the ability to identify and understand safety items
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work overtime when needed
Able to work in a team setting or independently, as needed

CONDITIONS
Manufacturing – Climate controlled environment is fast paced with rapidly changing priorities. Works with frequent exposure to noise, moisture, heat / cold and continuous exposure to dust. May have exposure to flammable solvents. Must wear applicable protective safety equipment. Working additional hours on short notice, including weekends, may be required.
EQUIPMENT USED
Maintenance – May be assigned to work on one or more of the following machines taping machine, blocker, generator, finer and polisher, wash line, backside coating machine, AR coating machine, lensometer, finish blocker, edger, hand etchers, groover, drill, hand tools and other machines as determined by management using tools that include but are not limited to adjustable wide mouth pliers, adjustable wrenches, air compressor, alignment jig, ammeters, anchor setting tools, bench vises, blocks, pulleys, blow torch, boring machines, burnishing machine, and other tools as required by management.

The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00.
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus.
