Overview of the Role :

* This position is a 12-month contract.

The Accounting Technician will assist with the preparation and processing of basic accounting information and provide general support to the finance team. This role helps ensure accurate records for activities related to warehousing, distribution, transportation, and supply chain operations. The technician will work closely with the accounting team on day-to-day tasks and contribute to maintaining smooth financial processes.

*Salary ranges from $47 320 to $62 110.  Offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Prepare and maintain commission files to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Assist in preparing weekly financial summaries, compiling data for internal reporting.
  • Enter and organize accounting data for monthly financial statements.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in accounting systems.
  • Provide assistance with budget preparation by helping to collect and organize financial information
  • Support the accounting team in daily tasks, such as document verification, and basic reconciliations.
  • Perform other related duties as required, contributing to the smooth functioning of the Supply Chain finance department.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • College diploma in accounting, administration or equivalent;
  • Have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position in the manufacturing industry;
  • Proficiency in French and English is required, as the person will need to communicate with colleagues across different regions of Canada;
  • Good knowledge of Excel;
  • Knowledge of BI, Maestro and SAP (asset);
  • Good organizational and planning skills;
  • Ability to multi-task independently or as part of a team;
  • Ability to process information quickly under tight deadlines.
