Job Details:
Reports to Field Services Manager or designate. Performs both routine and complex maintenance duties associated with the ACMI system while following established standards and practices. Works closely with military aircrew and maintenance personnel in the performance of ACMI duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may be required to perform additional job duties):
Perform duties associated with system operations:
- SPEAR & ICADS for debriefing missions
- Pre-mission preparation of Data Transfer Devices
- Post-mission download of Data Transfer Devices
- Download of other post-mission devices, including complex data formats requiring new synchronization procedures.
- Operate and maintain the Real-Time monitoring system
- Travel to austere locations to service and support the Real-Time monitoring system
- Perform first-line maintenance on AIS pods
- 100-hour inspections
- Installation and removal of pod weights
- Minor repairs of Airborne Instrumentation Subsystem (AIS)
- Almanac updates of ACMI GPS
- Diagnose AIS pod health by monitoring watchdog and bit reports
- Perform second-line maintenance on AIS pods
- Utilize the ACMI pod test set and maintenance computer to diagnose internal pod failures
- Perform repairs of the AIS pods by identifying failures in Line Replaceable Units (LRU)
- Generate failure reports of LRU for the depot
- Program the AIS pod firmware with the maintenance computer
- Program GPS cards and install configuration files
- Operate all test equipment associated with pod maintenance
- Perform second-line repair of computer hardware
- Perform basic to intermediate soldering rework
- Provide instructional briefings to Aircrew on system operation
- Prepare ACMI pods and support equipment for deployed operations
- Prepare customs and travel documentation for deployed operations
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS (education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities):
Graduate of a 2-year technical program in Electronics, Avionics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Prior military experience is an asset. Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and network architecture. Ability to use PC software such as word processors, spreadsheets and databases. Practical written and oral communication skills in English & French. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work in remote and austere locations. Requires domestic and international travel in the performance of all duties—ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Cubic Pay Range:
$5,800.00 - $71,000.00 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
