Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab9, Essex, VT is seeking an individual to join their site Emergency Response Team as a Technician.  Technician positions are hourly shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts; the desired shift for this role is a Day shift on D2. Hours are 6:45am - 7:15pm 2 days on and 2 days off, rotating weekends (Fri / Sat / Sun). GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing safety technician support across all shifts.       

 

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Responding to medical emergencies, hazmat incidents, fires and all other emergency incidents to protect life, environment, property, and support continuous manufacturing operations
  • Participating in fire system inspections, training exercises, and equipment maintenance activities
  • Troubleshooting Incidents / Events
  • Assisting with Environmental, Safety, and Security tasks as assigned/needed
  • Coordinating of resources for effective response and containment

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years emergency response, hazmat and or firefighting experience
  • Physical Capacity Demands:  walking, repetitive motions, lifting and / or wearing equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Language Fluency – English (both Written & Verbal) 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Firefighter I Certification
  • EMT Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Hazmat Technician
  • Confined Space Rescue Experience
  • Manufacturing Operations Experience (3 Years)
  • Self-Motivated / Team oriented
  • Strong verbal, written and digital communication skills
  • Capable of performing multiple tasks at various levels of complexity
  • Demonstrated leadership skills / experience

Expected Salary Range

$36,300.00 - $61,700.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
