Job Summary: You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST & EVALUATION DEPARTMENT, C41- INTEGRATED COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST AND EVALUATION and C42 - BALLISITIC MISSILE DEFENSE TEST AND EVALUATION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Major Duties:

  • You will lead test projects aboard Navy ships testing combat systems, weapon systems, and missiles as the single point of contact for all shipboard activities for the event.
  • You will define, plan, and execute critical projects which are complex and involve multiple disciplines and organizations both internal and off station, including contractors.
  • You will provide both expert consultant system services and technical assistance related to In-Service Engineering (ISE), operations, testing, evaluation, maintenance, and repair of the AEGIS Combat System.
  • You will understand and formulate the overall objectives and details requirements, provides project planning, and monitors progress.
  • You will participate in all planning meetings and provides engineering services to support development of test event scenarios, execution plans, and test plans.
  • You will identify, schedule, and coordinate all air, lndo and Exo atmospheric, surface, and subsurface requirements as required for the associated test events.
  • You will apply project and budget management principles to technical and programmatic elements to meet overall objectives.
  • You will serve as a technical expert for ISE issues related to the AEGIS Combat System (ACS), particularly related to overall evaluation of the associated test event.
  • You will perform analysis and investigate issues/ Test Observation Reports (TORs) discovered during testing/operations, and participates in resolution of combat system problems.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, executing and reporting Combat System test events to implement operational, maintenance, and test and evaluation processes to ensure the efficient and effective execution of ship warfare readiness objectives.
