Job Summary: You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS ALIGNMENT DIVISION (C73), COMBAT SYSTEMS TEST & EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA or San Diego, CA.

Major Duties:

  • You serve as a team lead for the development and integration of Combat Systems Alignment (CSA) and Collimation Procedures, Combat System Alignment Manuals (CSAM), and Theory of Combat System Alignment Manual.
  • You will to manage and coordinate the sustainment functions for combat systems, to include operations, testing, configuration management, cybersecurity, deployment, modernization, and maintenance.
  • You will provide program planning and technical direction in multiple functional areas including modernization, maintenance, test planning and execution, data analysis, and reporting.
  • You will demonstrate specific expertise, to include systems engineering of AEGIS Weapons System (AWS) and Spatial Analyzer software.
  • You will interface with government and contractor engineers, scientist, technicians, and managers to develop and investigate technical information as a result of fleet modernization and in-service operational and maintenance problems.
  • You will determine the Combat System implications of individual subsystem improvements and be adept at the cooperative use of individual subsystem capabilities.
  • You will perform a variety of complex technical support project assignments directed toward the Aegis (and non-AEGIS) Combat System elements by planning, programing, and directing diverse teams in the implementation and execution.
  • You will lead the team to prioritize problems using key data, ensure solutions are implemented, and analyze trends to protect future combat system performance.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the team's analysis of fleet trials and tests to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions and ensure their success.
  • You will spearhead fiscal year planning to ensure the branch is fully funded for the CSA mission.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, coordinating, and integrating Combat System Alignment (CSA) and Collimation processes and procedures to ensure the successful execution of CSA projects or programs.
