Job Description

The Test Handler Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician supports reliable, safe, and efficient semiconductor test operations by performing scheduled preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and documentation for automated test handlers and related support equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on semiconductor test handlers (cleaning, inspection, lubrication, adjustments, basic part replacement) following standard work and checklists
  • Verify equipment status after PM (start-up checks, basic functionality checks, confirming alarms/interlocks are normal) and coordinate equipment release with engineering/operations
  • Respond to equipment downtime calls with first-level troubleshooting and clear escalation to Equipment Engineering when needed
  • Execute safe tool operation practices: lockout/tagout (LOTO) adherence, ESD controls, and proper handling of components and consumables
  • Document completed work accurately (PM records, parts used, observations, as-found/as-left condition) in the required tracking system
  • Support continuous improvement by flagging recurring issues, suggesting checklist updates, and helping keep PM standards current
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and help ensure spare parts, kits, and consumables are stocked and labeled properly
  • Work effectively with cross-functional partners (production/operators, equipment engineers, quality) across manufacturing areas as needed
