The Technical Value Stream Lead is a senior role responsible for the end-to-end evolution and effectiveness of a value stream, combining technical insight, business proximity, and strategic oversight. Operating at the intersection of healthcare and complex technology landscapes, this role ensures solutions are coherent, scalable, and aligned with real-world outcomes. It is an indirect leadership role, focused on influence and strategic partnership rather than direct people management. While not hands-on, it requires a strong understanding of data ecosystems, integration patterns, and AI capabilities to guide decisions and shape direction. Working across organizational boundaries, the focus is on aligning business priorities with technology, driving ownership and decision-making in complex environments rather than process or project coordination.

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.

The Opportunity:

  • You provide strategic direction for the evolution and coherence of the value stream, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technology capabilities.

  • You establish and promote best practices for design consistency, interoperability, and sustainable system evolution to improve value stream effectiveness.

  • You lead the resolution of complex, cross-boundary challenges involving business processes, data, and technology through collaborative problem-solving.

  • You bring together diverse perspectives to define pragmatic and scalable solutions, balancing innovation with feasibility, compliance, and reliability.

  • You engage and influence a broad network of stakeholders across business and IT, including senior leadership, within a highly matrixed environment.

  • You drive the strategic evolution of the value stream, contributing to long-term capabilities in data integration, processing, and AI adoption.

  • You navigate a highly complex, interconnected landscape of systems and data flows, ensuring coherence and alignment across organizational units.

Who you are:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and bring proven experience in senior roles such as Value Stream Leadership, Product Leadership, Tech Lead or Architecture

  • You have extensive experience in complex, data-driven environments, ideally with 8+ years of professional experience in healthcare or regulated industries..

  • You have a solid understanding of integration patterns, data processing concepts, and system landscapes to bridge technical and business needs.

  • You demonstrate a strong track record of working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups to drive aligned outcomes through indirect leadership.

  • You bring a good grasp of AI/ML concepts and their business applications to drive innovation while ensuring solutions remain practical and scalable.

  • You are an expert at navigating complexity and ambiguity while maintaining a relentless focus on ownership, impact, and system sustainability.

  • You possess a coaching and mentoring mindset with excellent communication skills, enabling you to operate effectively in a global matrix organization.

What you get:

  • Salary range 19,000 - 35,400 PLN gross based on the employment contract.
