The Technical Training Engineer 2 is responsible for coordinating and delivering technical and compliance training programs that build workforce capability across manufacturing functions. A key focus area of this role is the design and delivery of CNC precision machining training programs to upskill our workforce in high-precision manufacturing processes.

The role also supports onboarding, soft skill development, on-the-job training (OJT), and training systems compliance. Working closely with functional leaders and SMEs, the incumbent ensures that learning solutions are aligned to operational, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for executing and coordinating training programs, including onboarding, compliance, and CNC precision machining modules. Oversees On-the-Job Training (OJT) with SMEs and team leaders, while preparing and updating training materials, job aids, and e-learning content to align with site processes. Additionally, supports TVET and apprenticeship programs in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Manages compliance and training record-keeping in the LMS to meet audit and regulatory standards. Tracks completion, qualifications, certifications, and refresher cycles, while supporting audit readiness through documentation, traceability, and effectiveness checks.

  • Collaborates with functional teams, SMEs, and external providers to coordinate training needs, vendor-led sessions, and certifications, while supporting the execution of the technical training roadmap and apprenticeship programs.

  • Provides training support through calendar administration, reporting, and feedback analysis to aid decision-making. Monitors training effectiveness, supports pilot projects for new learning tools, and assists with HRDF documentation, course submissions, and training provider coordination.

  • Based in Penang, this role requires a degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or an Advanced Diploma in Precision Machining (DLKM Level 5), with 3–5 years of experience in technical training, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment. Professional certification in instructional delivery, Train-the-Trainer, or LMS administration is preferred, alongside familiarity with QMS, LMS, and compliance training processes. Additional exposure to learning technologies, instructional design, and behavioral skills training is an advantage.

  • The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office, capable of delivering both technical and soft skills training, and skilled in engaging adult learners. Strong coordination abilities across departments and stakeholders are essential to ensure effective training outcomes. The role involves minimal travel, up to 5%.
