We are seeking an experienced Applications Angineer specializing in upper completions and intelligent productions solutions. This role involves leading a team of Engineers, overseeing technical planning/ preparation of all activities within Angola.
 

As a Technical Support Specialist- Upstream Chemicals, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing, mentoring, and developing a team of applications engineers and fresh graduates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

  • Overseeing and supporting the technical planning, preparation and validation of all upper completions and IPS activities in the assigned region.

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their well construction and production objectives, providing tailored technical solutions and support.

  • Analysing job performance and providing feedback for product and process improvements.

  • Performing offset job analysis and product/service-specific engineering modelling calculations to understand application hazards and incident potential.

  • Working closely with service delivery managers/coordinators, sales teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.


 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Have significant experience in upper completions and intelligent production systems, with proven experience in an Applications Engineering Manager role.

  • Have a proven ability to lead and develop cross-border engineering teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Have the demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Have proven experience in client interactions, with a good commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.

  • Able to speak and write fluently in English

  • Be able to travel, as required, to customer facilities, meetings, and training sessions.
